We are an innovative and leading digital publisher expanding across Ontario and are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager with experience leading a team of sales executives to help the company achieve revenue growth targets, and add value to our aggressive expansion plans. The role demands a leader who will be responsible for optimizing our sales team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands the company's customer base and extends the company's regional reach
  • Recruit sales executives, set objectives, train and coach them, and monitor their performance 
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop plans for filling them
  • Ensure that company quotas are met by holding daily check-ins with sales team to set objectives and monitor progress
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Present sales, revenue and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts and execute strategies to compete in these markets

 

Required skills and qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in managing sales in a corporate setting
  • Successful previous experience as a sales executive consistently meeting/exceeding sales targets
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process, from planning to closing
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership ability, business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and relationship building skills
  • Ability to travel with sales executives
  • Digital publishing advertising sales experience is an asset
  • Must have experience in selling wide array of digital advertising opportunities such as, but not limited to: display ads, content, social media advertising, Google ads, SEO.
  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
  • Proficient in using a CRM system
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in social media platforms: Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Linkedin
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle
